How to Play
Everything you need to know to master Confidence Tapper.
Game Objective
Train your brain to recognise and embrace positive public-speaking language. The more positive words you tap, the stronger your confidence mindset becomes.
Duration
Each round lasts exactly 90 seconds. The timer counts down from the top-left of the game arena.
Gameplay
Words fall continuously from the top of the screen. Positive words appear in yellow; negative words appear in red. Words drift side-to-side as they fall — stay sharp!
Player Actions
Click or tap a word to collect it. Positive words score for you. Negative words also register if tapped — try to avoid them! Words you miss simply fall off the bottom.
Scoring
Your final score shows total positive words tapped and total negative words tapped. Aim to maximise positives and minimise negatives.
Progression Tiers
Positive tapped: 0–20 = Beginner · 21–40 = Intermediate · 41+ = Expert. Negative tapped: 0–10 = Excellent · 11–20 = Good · 21+ = Needs Improvement.
Game End
When the 90-second timer hits zero, the game stops automatically and a Game Over screen appears. All falling words are cleared.
Replay & Reset
Click Restart Game to play another round, or View Result to scroll down to your detailed breakdown. Click Reset at the bottom of the results to return to the start screen.
Additional Notes
This game works best on a touch screen — perfect for tablets and phones. On desktop, use your mouse to click the falling words. There is no penalty for missing a word, so focus on speed and accuracy.
Why Positive Word Training Matters
The words we associate with public speaking shape how we feel about it. Confidence Tapper is designed to help children and teens actively replace fear-based language with empowering vocabulary — one tap at a time.
Positive Mindset Training
Actively selecting positive words rewires how children think about public speaking — replacing fear with anticipation and capability.
Vocabulary Building
Repeated exposure to expressive, high-impact vocabulary helps children internalise the language of confident communication.
Cognitive Agility
Fast-paced decision-making under time pressure sharpens focus and quick thinking — critical skills on any stage.
Growth Mindset
Seeing negative words as things to 'avoid' rather than 'truths' teaches children they can choose their mindset before speaking.
